Sign up for the 7th Annual ALS Awareness 5k Run Walk! August 18, 2018 - Emden, IL We've been grateful for the incredible support and tremendous turnout for this event over the first 6 years, raising over $125,000. The event is funded almost entirely through the generous donations of over 150 individuals and businesses in the community, leaving the majority of the entry fee to help advance the research into the causes, treatments, and prevention of ALS. While the race is very competitive chip-timed race (course record of 15:53 from Braxton Schuldt last year), all types of runners and walkers are welcome. It is more than just a race - with a post-race meal, raffles, silent auctions, and more.
178 REGISTERED PARTICIPANTS SO FAR!
John Hayes at the 2017 5k. He passed away on 12/1/2017 after a battle with ALS. He is one of several individuals from the community that have been the motivation for the creation and ongoing community support for this event and promoting awareness of ALS.
